Saturday Traditional Darkroom Workshops,
2 Saturdays each month:

1 day Darkroom Workshop in Pasadena, California.
Max 2 people per day - $200.00 per day per person.

For less than the cost of 50 sheets of quality
16X20 fiber based paper you will learn more in one day
about darkroom procedures than you thought possible.
You will learn about using different developing techniques
for a different "look" and subject matter,
while learning to judge a negative (and contact print)
to see if there is potential as a fine print.

Finally, you will learn the details of making a fine print,
a print that "glows", a print that demands your attention,
and a print that is processed to archival museum standards.

This is a "hands-on" workshop working with one
of several Durst enlargers (35mm to 8X10).

Make sure you get plenty of rest the day before this workshop!
You may have both physical and visual overload after it is completed.

A light snack-lunch and refreshments are included in the price.

Limited number of darkroom workshops this year
due to an extensive exhibition schedule.

The Tonopah Tribute!

A four day workshop with Per Volquartz and Jim Galli
in Tonopah, Nevada.

Tonopah, an old decaying silver mining town will serve as the center
for this workshop that will focus on use of lenses, old glass,
weird time-tested contraptions - and how to build basic image content
- as well as photographing in spectacular locations in this unique
and desolate part of the Western United States.

"A
s Jim Galli says:
"- this is the workshop to come to if you want to look through
all this ancient glass that people are talking about all the time.
A little hands on before you commit to spending stupid money
on old brass lenses.
I really think that might be something people are interested in."

Monday November 9 through Thursday November 12

15 people maximum.
